So I’ve really been into mud masks these days. The sheet masks just don’t cut it for me. I just enjoy the feeling of taking the tiredness and stress off of my face. Borghese’s Fango Brillante Brightening Mud Mask for Face and Body really surprised me, it left me with a fresh, relaxed face.

I’ve used Borghese’s Active mud for face and body several times in the past and I thought I should give this one a try.

The consistency of the mud is not as smooth as the active mud, it’s more like a creamy peanut butter version of mud, whereas the active mud is more like butter.

The fragrance added can be quite strong for those with sensitive smell, in comparison to the Active Mud, it’s definitely has a much more stronger floral-y scent.

Like all masks, when I first used this product it stung a little on my face, and progressively my skin has gotten used to it and stopped stinging.

I haven’t seen much difference  in terms of an even complexion within the two months since I’ve purchased this mud; my face feels so clean and fresh after taking it off. I definitely feel like it’s being renewed from the inside, and the evening of skin tone is gradually appearing on the sides of my cheeks but not the problem areas

The product is suppose to “minimise pores, even tone, correct imperfections and promote a smooth, clear luminance”. So far, the even tone and promotion of smooth luminance seem to be working on my acne prone oily skin.

I’m still waiting for this mud mask to give me the extra skincare power that I need in terms of clearing up my acne spots and preventing small breakouts.

Although the price for this product is quite expensive in terms of face masks, it’s going to last you a very long time. I’ve used this product once a week for the past two and a half months and I’m still at the very top of the jar. A little goes a long way! When I purchased this product online at Sasa, they were doing a promotion and included a free Origins Out of Trouble®10 minute mask to rescue problem skin. *totally worth it!*

I also don’t use the free sponge they provide with the masks, only because I use it for my face only and not my body, and it’s also hard to clean.

I recommend this mud if you have oily skin, or just want to rejuvenate and de-stress!
