For all the matte lovers out there, this quad contains three matte shades and a satin shade with sheer sparkle.
I had been looking for the perfect russet brown shade for a quite some time and I finally found it!
The matte deep tan colour is quite similar to the Naked palette’s Buck, my go to shadow shade for defining a crease.
Although the colour of the shades are quite prominent in most neutral to nude palettes, care has definitely been put into the quality and formulation of the shades. The texture, when applied dry gives the silkiest appearance. The quad can also be applied wet, giving a more creamy and buttery application which makes it easily blendable as well as buildable.
In terms of staying power, when paired with a decent eye primer, lasts throughout a normal 8 hour uni day for me.
Tom Ford’s signature sleek packaging with the gold accent really intensifies the luxuriousness of the quad. I don’t know about you guys, but amazing packaging really sells me on any product! It really contributes to the experience of applying quality eye shadow.
Also, I’ve gone travelling with this quad (see travelling essentials) and due to its small compact case it’s easy to chuck it into my makeup bag.
The palette can fold down to 180 degrees which is perfect for close ups in the mirror. (I had to include my little cat Pickles! ฅ(⌯͒• ɪ •⌯͒)ฅ❣ )
I would definitely invest in one of his eye shadow quads -I don’t think I’ll be hitting pan anytime soon. It retails for approximately $110 AUD or $79 USD, I would definitely purchase this as an everyday eye shadow palette even though I was lucky enough to have this gifted to me by the lovely V.
Excited to see what Tom Ford has in store for his future collections.
